From poets to radio hosts, the Utah War to rock climbing, April and May are shaping up to be a busy months for Ken Sanders Rare Books.

Ken Sanders Rare Books is pleased to announce Blood, Fertility & Magic: An Evening of the Sacred, the Primal, the Belly, a reading and gallery exhibit by poets Melissa Bond and Sara Caldiero-Oertli, photographer Cat Palmer, and artist Kindra Fehr on Friday, May 9th at 8:00 p.m. at our downtown bookstore (268 South 200 East). Artwork and books by the performers will be available for purchase at the event. The art portion of this event will remain on display until May 23rd.This event is free and open to the public.

May Gallery Stroll: Off the Beaten Path The American Literary Underground Comes to Utah

Ken Sanders Rare Books is pleased to announce Off the Beaten Path: The American Literary Underground Comes to Utah, an exhibit featuring art and ephemera from the Beat Generation that has been graciously provided by Utah State University's Special Collections and Archives. The exhibit runs from April 30th to May 23rd though we will be hosting a reception on Friday, May 16th from 6:00-9:00 at our downtown gallery and bookstore (268 South 200 East). This is event is part of the Salt Lake Gallery Association's May Gallery Stroll and is free and open to the public. The exhibit coincides with the annual meeting of the Utah Library Association and the Mountain Plains Library Association.

Join bookseller Ken Sanders and poet Alex Caldiero every third Thursday of the month from 10:30 to 11:00am on local radio station KCPW 88.3FM to hear the dynamic duo explore verse on the program "Poetry is Wanted Here."

Ken Sanders Rare Books is proud to host a public introduction
of “Treasures of the Tavaputs” at a book signing, photo display and informal discussion of the future of Utah's rich archaeological heritage on Friday, July 20 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Half of all book sales go to the Colorado Plateau Archaeological Alliance, a Utah-b ased non-profit created in 2005 to foster the protection and preservation of archaeological resources throughout theWest.
