KEN SANDERS RARE BOOKS 10th ANNIVERSARY EVENTS A MONTH LONG CELEBRATION OF A DECADE'S WORTH OF WORDS AND ART IN THE VALLEY OF THE GREAT SALT LAKE SEPTEMBER, 2007

In the summer of 1997, Ken and his daughter Melissa Sanders began fixing up an old building on 200 East in downtown Salt Lake City, and although it seems like yesterday (or the day after), the bookshop is now celebrating its tenth anniversary. Please join us for a month-long series of tenth anniversary celebrations.

Our September Anniversary Extravaganza will include appearances by friends, old and new, writers, poets, artists, and musicians; along with the usual array of food and drink.  Bookending the September events, don't miss Doug Peacock and Andrea Peacock on Monday, September 10th and Charles Bowden closing out the month with an appearance on Friday, September 28th.

In between, watch for announcements on appearances by the following renowned
contributors to the arts during the month of September:

Trent Alvey, Sandy Anderson, Will Bagley, Pat Bagley, Rick Bass, Edward Bateman, Leia Bell, R.P. Bissland, Marcee Blackerby, Liberty Blake, Ric Blackerby, Melissa Bond, Charles Bowden, Carel Peter Brest Van Kempen, Alex Caldiero, Sara Caldiero, Trent Call, Scott Carrier, Willis Clow, Gentry Densley, Patrick Eddington, Trent Harris, Jann Haworth, Andy Hoffmann, Susan Makov, Marc Buehner, Julie Hickson, Eli Powell, Dana Costello, Neil Passey, Frank McEntyre, Ray Obermayer, Doug Peacock, Andrea Peacock, Charles Potts, Jenkyn Powell, Renny Russell, Gino Sky, Willis Clow, the Chisholm Brothers, Rosalie Sorrels, Stephen Trimble, Martin Vest, and Sri Whipple.

Other notable anniversaries we will honor in September include the seventeenth
anniversary of Ken Sanders Rare Books, the twenty-seventh anniversary of our publishing arm, Dream Garden Press, and the thirty-first anniversary of Ken's old Cosmic Aeroplane Bookstore.

Stop by in September to celebrate, enjoy the non-stop parade of events (including a few surprises), and help us create chaos (along with words, music, poetry, song and artistry) out of anarchy for a better tomorrow.

The full listing of events is on our Events Page.
