223pp. Octavo [22 cm] Black paper covered boards with a yellow ink stamped title on the spine. Very good. The edges of the covers are bumped and rubbed. The pages are very mildly yellowed. The dust jacket is in good condition. Heavily rubbed. There are numerous very light small moisture stains on the rear panel and spine. The paper at the spine ends and corners is slightly chipped. The rear inside flap is subtly yellowed.
Warmly inscribed by the author in purple ink on the front free endsheet. Inscription reads: "To Mary + Pam, - true friends for - many years, and who - know so much more - God bless + keep - you, always - Jerrie." With a picture of Jerry Cobb being presented an award by Richard Nixon tucked in.Laid in is a photograph of Cobb receiving a 'Harmon International Trophy' form President Richard Nixon. The Harmon Trophy is a set of three international trophies awarded to the best Aviator, Aviatrix and aeronaut.
