From the Introduction- "The University Prints included in the present volume cover the history of Greek sculpture from its beginning in pre-Greek forms, - the so-called Mycenaean art, - down through the period of Roman patronage to the time when the decline of the Roman culture began to pave the way for the emergence of a new race personality in art."
