The rear free endsheet has a former owner's brief notation, and there is a small chip in the fore edge. The text block is cracked multiple times. Pp. 115-137 are hanging on by a thread. Very occasional light foxing and marks in pencil.
Flake 8081. Lacks the three poems by Eliza R. Snow. The contents of this volume have caused great controversy since it's original publication. Lucy Mack Smith (1776-1856) wrote the memoir based on her family history and the religious revelations of her son Joseph Smith (1805-1844).
