Description

170pp. Octavo [22 cm] Gray paper covered boards with a white ink stamped title on the spine. Very good. The edges of the covers are lightly rubbed and bumped. There are a couple of very small stains on the front endsheet, and there is a barely perceptible ink stamp on the front free endsheet. The pages are yellowed, however they are very clean. The dust jacket is in very good condition as well. The edges are mildly rubbed and chipped. The inside flaps and the internal non-visible, side of the jacket are slightly darkened.

Comments

Herman Charles Bosman was a South African writer and journalist who became famous for capturing the rhythms of backveld Afrikaans speech although he wrote in English. He is widely viewed as the greatest short-story writer to come out of South Africa.
