Providence: 1874. Walter F. Brown. Hardcover. Oblong quarto [25 cm x 28.5 cm] Blue moire cloth covered boards with a gilt stamped title on the front cover and blind, black ink and gilt stamped decorative designs on the front cover. Good only. The edges of the covers are darkened and rubbed. The underlying boards are exposed occasionally along the edges. There are 1/4 inch losses from the ends of the spine. The front hinge is weak. There is a contemporary owner's name in pencil on the front flyleaf. The rear free endsheet has a large closed tear that measures 4 inches. The pages are lightly foxed. A few pages have a bit more foxing than others. Item #26416
