383pp. Quarto [31 cm] Light and dark blue cloth covered boards with decorative embossed titles and designs on the spine and front cover. Very good. The covers are mildly soiled, and ever so slightly rubbed and bumped. The inside margins of the verso of the front free endsheet and the title page were once adhered and have been pulled apart, leaving behind numerous small abraded marks in the paper of the margins. The text block is cracked at the end. The top edges of the pages are very subtly yellowed. The pages are clean.
From the art theme page- "On the theory that modern art is as simple and fine as the truth it presents, this book has been builded. Designed on a mechanistic motif, the photography was made with ultimate effect in mind. The art is the work of Girard Meeks, and though done in many moods, to prevent monotony, yet preserves the idea throughout."
