148pp. Octavo [19.5 cm] Brown cloth covered boards with black ink stamped titles. Good only. Ex-library. The front cover is lightly soiled. The spine is rolled. A library label has left an abraded discolored patch at the foot of the spine. The edges of the covers are rubbed and gently bumped. The underlying boards are peeking through at the bottom right corner of the front cover. There are two library stamps on the title page. The front pastedown has a faint dark patch, and a barely perceptible moisture stain. The rear endsheet has obvious traces of library marks. The pages are mildly yellowed.
This is an account of events on a trip across the plains to Denver, Colorado, in 1865 and of a life in the Far West in the later sixties.
