Octavo [22 cm] Orange yellow cloth covered boards with gilt stamped titles on the spines and front covers. Good only. The covers are rubbed and soiled. The extremities are gently bumped and frayed. The covers of volumes 3 and 4 have numerous dark stains. There is a 2 inch long split in the cloth of volume 3 along the front joint of the spine. The covers of volume 3 are concave, and the front hinge of this volume is weak. The titles on the spines of volumes 3 and 5 have completely faded. The free endsheets are heavily darkened. There are notations on the front free endsheet of volume 3. The pages are mildly browned. The text blocks are occasionally cracked. Several of the spines are subtly rolled. Only volume 2 has a dust jacket. The dust jacket is in fair condition only, with rubbing and soiling. The edges are chipped, and have multiple closed tears. The longest tear is along the fold of the rear inside flap, and measures 5 and 1/2 inches. There may be occasional marginalia. This item may require extra shipping charges due to weight.
