8pp. Thin octavo [21 cm] Bound in plain card wraps with a typewritten title label mounted to the front wrap. Very good. The plain wraps are slightly soiled, and have a small numerical label across the spine. The inside margin of the first page is slightly abraded.

Flake 8367. From the text- "This book [The Book of Mormon], instead of being a substitute for the Scriptures, as is very incorrectly stated, is a record translated from ancient plates, found in the earth on the American Continent. The record gives most valuable information concerning the origin of American Indians, a subject which has furnished a theme for much conjecture among the learned during the present century, and on which they are still endeavoring to discover sources of information."
