The Riverside Press, Cambridge. 133pp. Quarto [26 cm] Mustard yellow and orange printed cloth covered boards. Very good plus. The edges of the covers are very slightly bumped and rubbed. There are several very small marks on the fore edge of the text block. There is a former owner's bookplate on the front pastedown. The dust jacket is in very good condition. Rubbed, creased and lightly soiled. The edges are chipped, and have multiple small closed tears. The longest closed tear measures 1 inch long.
Author Mary Austin's (1869-1934) first book was 'The Land of Little Rain' which launches her reoccurring literary theme of the desert lands of California.
