352pp. Octavo [19.5 cm] Blue cloth with titles stamped in white on the front cover and spine, and red and white ribbon ink stamped designs on the front board and the backstrip. Illustrated with numerous black and white historical photographs. Good only. The spine and covers are rubbed and darkened in areas, and the edges are bumped. The ink stamped titles and designs are rubbed. The underlying boards are peeking through occasionally along the edges. The spine is rolled and faded, and the cloth at the spine ends is frayed. There is a small stain on the bottom edge of the text block. The edges of the text block are darkened. There are several small splits in the front endsheet along the hinge, and there is a 1 inch split in the rear endsheet along the hinge. The front pastedown has a contemporary owner's name and a bookseller's small label. Pages mildly browned. The text block is fargile, and the underlying cords are visible in the gutters occasionally throughout the text block.
