SIGNED. 128pp. Quarto [31.5 cm] Olive green cloth covered boards with white ink stamped titles on the spine and front cover. Very good. Very minor spine slant. The edges of the covers are just a little dulled. There are several very faint smudge marks by the front cover. A piece of paper with pen notes has been mounted to the title page. The dust jacket is in very good condition. Mildly yellowed. The rear panel is soiled. The edges of the jacket are very lightly bumped and chipped.

Inscribed by Plowden on the front free endsheet. From the jacket- "Misunderstood and unappreciated, they [the Great Plains] represent the most left-behind landform in the coterminous United States."
