v-xvii; 893, i-x pp. Very thick quarto [30 cm] Green cloth covered boards with a gilt stamped title on the spine, and blind stamped designs on the covers. New endsheets. Good only. Ex-library. The spine and covers are rubbed. The cloth is a little bit rippled. The edges of the spine and covers are gently bumped. The cloth at the spine ends is mildly frayed. There is a rubbed out patch on the spine, perhaps where a library label once resided. The underlying boards are exposed briefly along the edges. Faint library blind stamp on the title page. Brief numerical notation on the contents page. The text block is cracked multiple times, and several of the gatherings are a little loose. There are a couple of jagged thin tears in the inside margin of p. 57. The longest tear measuring just over 1 inch long. Plates 17 and 18 are a bit adhered along the bottom edges. Small closed tear in the fore edge margin of plate LII. Plate XLII bound in twice, upside down, instead of plate LIV. Pages very mildly browned. There may be an occasional blind stamp in the text.
