321pp. Octavo [22 cm] Green and black cloth covered boards with a gilt stamped title on the spine. Very good. The edges of the spine and covers are gently bumped, rubbed and faded. The cloth at the head of the spine is very slightly frayed. The top edge of the text block is stained. The pages are yellowed. Internally very clean. The dust jacket is in very good condition. Rippled and creased. The edges are rubbed and ever so slightly chipped. There are thin light stains on the edges of the rear panel.

From the jacket- "The name of Niagara is a great one in American history. Three nations of white people and nearly a dozen Indian tribes, within the knowledge of man, struggled for Niagara, yet for more than a century it has been one of the most peaceful border regions of the world."
