213pp. Octavo [19.5 cm] Light blue cloth covered boards with orange ink stamped titles on the spine and front cover, and a small orange ink stamped vignette on the front cover. Illustrated endsheets. Very good. The edges of the spine and covers are gently bumped and rubbed. The edges of the text block are foxed. The endsheets are slightly discolored, and there is a contemporary gift inscription in pencil on the front free endsheet. The pages are age-toned. The dust jacket is in very good condition, with mild overall rubbing, soiling and browning. The edges are lightly chipped and creased. There are numerous small closed tears in the edges. The longest closed tear measures 1/2 inch long. Several titles on the front inside flap have been checked off in pencil.

Carolyn Keene is a pen name that was used by various different people- both men and women- over the years. The company that was the creator of the Nancy Drew series, the Stratemeyer Syndicate, employed a variety of writers. For Nancy Drew, the writers used the pseudonym Carolyn Keene to ensure anonymity of the creator.
