Thin quarto [32 cm] Illustrated wraps. Very good. The covers are very subtly yellowed, rubbed, and curled. Ever so slightly soiled and creased. The front wrap has a thin 2 inch long light mark. There is a small sticker label on the title page. The pages are just a little age-toned.
Rockwell Kent studied architecture at Columbia University (1900-03) and art at the New York School of Art (1903-04) where he was influenced by Robert Henri and had ties with the social realist Ash Can group of artists. Kent's first solo show was at the Clausen Galleries in 1908.
