376pp. Octavo [23.5 cm] Red cloth with titles stamped in gilt on the front board and backstrip. Very good. The edges of the spine and covers are very slightly rubbed and faded. There is very minor soiling on the bottom edge of the text block. There is a former owner's bookplate on the front pastedown. The front free endsheet and the title page have a former owner's embossed stamps. The pages are browned. There is a thin red mark on p. 92. The dust jacket is in very good condition. Rubbed, chipped and creased. The spine is very faded, and has a small moisture stain. There are numerous small closed tear in the edges. The longest closed tear measures 1/4 inch long. There are also several larges chips in the edges. The rear panel is mildly browned along the fold of the rear flap.
