Description

263pp. Quarto [24 cm] Black cloth covered boards with a gilt stamped title on the spine, and an illustrated paper label mounted to the front board. Illustrated endpapers. Very good. The spine is very slightly rolled back, and the covers are just a little bit concave. There is a very small ripple in the cloth of the front cover. There are several barely perceptible stains on the rear board. The edges of the spine and covers are gently rubbed. There is a minor scuff mark on the bottom edge of the text block. Very faint erased notation on the top edge of the front free endsheet. A very nice clean copy.

Comments

Illustrated by the Author. Born in Canada, Ernest DuFault left home at the age of 15 and traveled west to seek out his dream. He became the American cowboy, Will James. Beginning at the bottom, he worked and became a top hand. Handling rough horses filled his days and became the basis for many of his books.
