Very tiny pen notation on the recto of the rear free endsheet. There are several small dark stains along the edges of this page as well. The frontispiece is slightly offset on the tissue guard. The text block is subtly cracked at the end, however the book is very sturdy. Minor marks in pencil her and there throughout the text. The pages are mildly browned.
From the Preface- "The vast business now transacted through the medium of Expresses, affecting, as it does, nearly every branch of trade and every avenue of industry, is one of the necessities of commercial pursuits, and a department of useful activity called into being by the vigorous demands of a go-ahead age."
