769pp. Large octavos [26 cm] Light green cloth with gilt stamped titles against dark green backgrounds. Includes index. Very good. The boards are just a tiny bit warped. The spine of volume 1 is barely perceptibly rolled back, and the spine of volume 2 is very slightly rolled forward. The title pages have a former owner's blind stamps. Mildly browned pages. The dust jackets are in very good condition. Age-toned on the internal non-visible side and along the edges of the inside flaps. The edges are gently bumped, rubbed and chipped. There are several small closed tears along the edges of the jacket of volume 2. The longest closed tear measures 1 inch long.

Stout was a prominent Mormon who held both political offices as well as ecclesiastical duties. An insider view of the early Mormon experience. Edited by Juanita Brooks.
