The Entertaining Angel

New York: The Goldsmith Publishing Co., 1926. Lansing C. Holden, Jr. Reprint. Hardcover. 273pp. Octavo [19.5 cm] Red cloth covered boards with black ink stamped titles on the spine and front cover. Very good. The top edge of the text block is soiled and foxed. The spine ends are very slightly bumped. There is an old price sticker on the front pastedown. Tanned pages. In a good only dust jacket. Age-toned and foxed. The chipped edges have several small losses and several closed tears. The longest closed tear measures 3/4 of an inch long, and the largest loss is 1 inch deep by 3/4 of an inch wide. This loss is from the top edge of the front panel, and obscures one of the letters in the title. Item #31807

From the dust jacket- "Along the sunny highways of California, a theatrical caravan wends its gypsy way from town to town. A lovely girl plays the leading feminine role in the nightly stands of this wayside theatre, as well as in this sprightly story. Around an interesting stranger and this delightful lady, is spun an entrancing story."
