Description

SIGNED. 653pp. Very large octavo [24 cm] Light blue cloth covered boards, with the title stamped in gilt on the spine. Very good. The extremities are gently bumped. A previous owner's name has been stamped on the bottom edge of the text block, again on the front free endsheet. There was a two inch long piece of tape on the rear pastedown. The tape has been peeled off, leaving an abraded patch. In a very good dust jacket, with creased and rubbed edges. The front panel is subtly faded, and the other areas are lightly yellowed. There are several small losses from the edges. The largest loss is from the paper at the foot of the spine, and measures 3/4 of an inch wide by 1/4 inch deep. The edges are also slightly chipped, and have four or five small closed tears.
