118pp. Small quarto [24 cm] Dark red cloth covered boards with a gilt stamped title on the spine, and the names of the featured poets stamped in black ink on the front cover. Very good. The head of the spine and the top edges of the boards are a little faded. The extremities are gently rubbed and bumped. There is a contemporary gift inscription on the front free endsheet. There is a 3/4 inch long split in the top edge of the rear endsheet along the hinge. The pages are yellowed. In a good only dust jacket. Darkened, particularly at the spine. Lightly rubbed. There are numerous small losses from the edges. The widest loss is 2 inches long, and the deepest loss is 1 inch deep. There are also multiple small closed tears in the edges. The longest closed tear is 1 inch long. There is a cluster of tiny holes, resembling claw marks, poked into the surface of the rear panel. Not price-clipped.
With poems by Maxwell Bodenheim, Joy Davidman, Langston Hughes, Aaron Kramer, Alfred Kreymborg, Martha Millet, and Norman Rosten.
