540pp. Octavo [22.5 cm] Green pebbled cloth with a gilt stamped title on the spine, and a gilt stamped decorative title on the front board. Good only. The extremities are bumped and gently rubbed. The spine is rolled. There are numerous splits in the cloth at the ends of the spine, and one split in the cloth along the front joint. There is a 1/2 inch crack in the front board at the head of the joint. The front endsheet has two ink stamps from a previous owner. The front free endsheet is beginning to detach at the ends, and is torn along the inside margin. The bottom edges of the front endsheet, and the first twelve or so pages have dark stains. The majority of the staining is to the bottom edge of the front endsheet, and most of the pages are very clean. The rear endsheet is cracked along the hinge, the hinge is broken, and the text block is pulling away from the spine. The underlying cords are visible. Tanned pages. The text block is cracked numerous times at the center. As is.
