305pp. Small quarto [26 cm] Blue hardcover with silver stamped titles. Includes illustrations, end notes, index and bibliography. Very good. There are a handful of tiny spots on the boards. The spine ends are bumped. There is a former owner's name on the top edge of the front free endsheet, and there is a previous owner's blind stamp on the following page. This embossed stamp is on p. 305 as well. There is a small numerical notation on the rear pastedown. A couple of pages have minor marks. In a near fine dust jacket, with lightly creased edges.
The reports of the Salt Lake Daily Tribune, from November 11, 1874, through April, 1877, provide a full, contemporary account of the capture, trials, appeals and execution of John D. Lee, as the primary perpetrator of the Mountain Meadows Massacre.
