667pp. Octavo [19.5 cm] 3/4 brown leather with marbled paper covered boards, raised bands, a gilt stamped title on the spine, and gilt stamped decorative patterns and linear designs on the spine and covers. Top edge gilt. Marbled endsheets. Very good. The extremities are gently rubbed and fadeds, and the spine is very subtly rolled. The front board is barely perceptibly warped. Browned pages. The book is very sturdy.
Odd volume. Thackeray was an author, illustrator, and editor, known for writing Vanity Fair: A Novel Without a Hero in 1848.
