827; 802; 766; 728; 888pp. Quarto [25 cm] Blue cloth covered boards with gilt stamped titles on the spines. Several volumes are in very good condition, a couple of the volumes are in good condition only. The extremities are gently bumped and rubbed. Some of the hinges are weak. Tanned pages. There is a 3/4 inch long tear in the head of the backstrip of volume 2. There is also a prominent indentation in the top edge of the front cover of this volume as well. The top edge of this text block is subtly moisture stained, and the text block is cracked a couple of times at the end. The dust jackets are in good condition only. Age-toned and mildly soiled and stained. There are numerous damp stains on the darkened spines of the jackets. The edges are slightly chipped, and have multiple closed tears. The jackets of volumes 2 and 3 have large losses from the edges. The largest loss is from the paper at the foot of the spine of volume 2. The loss measures 1 and 3/4 of an inch wide by the 1 and 3/4 of an inch deep. The loss is followed by a long forked closed tear.
