"Of course I cannot pretend that I have made no mistakes. It was almost impossible, considering the time allowed, to do everything perfectly; but should you find mistakes, do not imagine that the whole of our work together is to be judged by cracks and flaws. From the beginning my real object has been to awaken your interest in particular directions; and if I have been able to do that, I am quite satisfied as I feel sure that you will do the rest for yourselves." - Lafcadio Hearn
