408pp. Octavo [19.5 cm] Navy blue cloth covered boards with decorative printed paper title labels on the spine and front cover. Very good. The extremities are gently bumped and rubbed, and the spine is very slightly rolled. The edges of the text block are just a little soiled and stained. Tanned pages. In a very good dust jacket, with general age-toning, and large strips of darkening on the rear panel. Also mildly rubbed, creased and soiled. The edges are lightly chipped, and have several small closed tears. The longest closed tear is just under 1 inch long. There are several thin marks on the rear panel. The corners of the jacket are clipped, however the price of $2.50 is still intact.
From the dust jacket- "It is a tremendously strong story in which Prokop dominates the scene, with his insatiable energy, his mad fury of experimentation and creation, his tender pity for hurt things, and his determination never to give up the secret of his ruinous discovery."
