63pp. Octavo [23 cm] Illustrated paper covered boards. Very good. The extremities are gently rubbed, bumped and age-toned. Very minor spine lean. The covers are just a tiny bit concave. The text block edges are foxed, and the endsheets are lightly foxed. In a very good dust jacket. Darkened, especially at the spine. The edges are mildly rubbed, and have multiple small chips and a short closed tear. The largest chip measures just under 1/4 of an inch wide by 1/4 of an inch deep. There is a small light moisture stain on the top edge. Price-clipped.
The Adventures of Tom Bombadil is made up of 16 poems, three of them are about Tom Bombadil himself, one about a hobbit and a troll, two about the Man in the Moon, six which are just simply "adventures," and four which have the characteristics of a bestiary.
