Octavo [22.5 cm] White and black printed wraps. With black paper covered slipcases with gilt stamped titles. Very good. The covers are occasionally mildly soiled or stained. The slipcases are in very good condition. The slipcase of volume 2 is in fair condition only. The extremities are rubbed and scratched, and the underlying boards are exposed sporadically along the edges. The slipcase of volume 2 is completely split along two of the edges. A few of the slipcases have very small splits in the edges. There is a small chip in the paper in the top edge of the slipcase of volume 4.
One of the cookbooks reprinted here, Platina, is the first dated cookery book.
