532pp. Quarto [29.5 cm] Olive green cloth covered boards with a gilt stamped title on the spine, and gilt stamped designs on the spine and front cover. Fair condition. The extremities are rubbed and scratched. Rebacked with most of the original spine overlaid. Despite the rebacking, much of the backstrip has come away from the spine. The underlying boards are exposed occasionally along the edges. The boards are slightly concave. The front endsheet is lightly soiled and rippled. There is a previous owner's name on the front pastedown. The underlying threads are visible along the hinges, and throughout the pages in the inside margins, as a result of the text block having been cracked multiple times. P. 161 is beginning to detach. Mildly browned pages. The pages are clean. Complete. All plates present. May require extra postage due to weight.
