Auburn: Alden Beardsley & Co., 1851. Standard edition. Leather bound. 286; 53; 124pp. Sextodecimo [16 cm] Full brown leather with a gilt stamped title and gilt ruled borders on the spine. Good. The leather spine and covers are rubbed and a bit mottled, and have roughly a dozen small dark stains. There is a 1/2 inch chip in the leather at the head of the spine, and there is a 1 and 1/2 inch crack in the bottom edge of the front board along the joint. There is also a 1/2 inch long crack in the rear board at the head of the spine along the joint. The pages are foxed, and the text block is cracked multiple times. Item #35011
