640; 746; 949pp. Quarto [25.5 cm] Dark green pebbled cloth covered boards with gilt stamped titles on the spines, and gilt and blind stamped animal vignettes on the spines and front covers. Good only. Library discards. The extremities are rubbed and mildly stained. The spine and covers have a light shiny veneer. Library numbers on the spine. The rear covers have taped barcodes. The spines are sunned. There are small ink stamps on the top text block edge of each volume. Underlying boards exposed occasionally along the edges. There are numerous library marks on the endsheets and pages at the begining. Tanned pages. A couple of pages have underlining in pencil. Volume 1 has been rebacked with sturdy green cloth, and the hinges have been re-enforced with tape. The title has been written in pen on the spine. The text blocks of Volume 1, Parts 1 and 2, and Volume 4, Part II are cracked several times. The hinges of Volume 2, Part 1 are broken and the text block is coming away from the backstrip. MISSING Volume 3, Parts 1 and 2. May require extra postage due to weight.
