124pp. Quarto [27 cm] Red cloth covered boards with a gilt stamped title on the spine, and a gilt stamped dog vignette on the front cover. Illustrated endpapers. Very good. The edges of the covers and spine are just a little bumped and darkened. The top edge of the text block is darkened as well, and has a couple thin short marks. There is a contemporary gift inscription on the front flyleaf and the pages are tanned. The dust jacket is in very good condition. The spine and large areas of the panels are heavily browned. Rubbed and creased along the edges and folds. The edges have numerous small closed and open tears.

Illustrated by the author. The Utah artist, John Held Jr., was one of the best known magazine illustrators of the 1920s, and his designs for F. Scott Fitzgerald jackets became icons of the Jazz Age.
