Octavo [20 cm] 3/4 green leather with marbled paper covered boards, and gilt tooled spines. Top edges gilt. Marbled endsheets. Most volumes are in very good condition, and several volumes are in good condition. The spines, joints and edges are rubbed. Very sporadic small losses from the spine ends. The underlying boards are exposed at the corners. Many of the spines are cosmetically cracked along the joints. The cracks and exposed areas have been filled in with a dark brown polish or stain. Tanned pages. Some uncut pages. A couple of the volumes have endsheets that are cracked along the hinges. The text blocks of volumes 2 and 7 are cracked at the end.
