335pp. Duodecimo [19 cm] 3/4 red leather with marbled paper covered boards, a gilt tooled spine with a gilt stamped title, and gilt ruled borders on the covers. Top edge gilt. Good. The extremities are gently rubbed. There is a large loss from the head of the backstrip that measures 1" wide by 1 and 1/4" deep at its deepest point. There is a thin loss from the foot of the backstrip. The backstrip also has several 1" long closed tears in the surface. There is a former owner's name on the front free endsheet, and again on the half title page. Tanned pages. The book is sturdy.
