520pp. Octavo [24 cm] 3/4 blue leather with blue pebbled cloth covered boards. Title gilt stamped on the front board and backstrip. Good. The spine and covers are rubbed, and the spine is heavily rolled. The underlying boards are exposed at the corners. There are a couple of chips in the leather of the spine. The larger of the chips obscures a bit of the title. In addition, a little bit of the gilt title on the front cover has been rubbed away. The cloth on the covers is a bit faded, and the pages are tanned. The illustrations are lightly offset on the surrounding pages. The book is sturdy.
Frontispieces Heber C. Kimball and his wife Vilate are present. The Joseph and Hyrum Smith portraits are also present at the center. Biography of the Mormon leader by his grandson. Flake/Draper 9772.
