Comments

Emanuel Swedenborg was immersed simultaneously in the rational world of the physical sciences and the world of the Christian faith. He was a product of the Enlightenment, a period when intellectuals rejected dogmatic religious teachings in favor of science and reason, and his theology reflects a struggle to understand the world of spirit through the study of the physical world. This is an attractive copy, inside and out, of Swedenborg's best-known work, in which he describes his innovative cosmology in rich detail.
