[20pp] Octavo [26.5 cm] Tan printed wrappers that were originally sidestiched, but now are stapled (one at the head and one at the foot). Very good. Light rubbing to corners. Faint moisture wear at the fore edge.

This poem originally appeared in Snow's poem book that was published in 1856 (p.[1]). Snow originally wrote the poem in 1845 after learning of the principle of heavenly parents from Joseph Smith. Later this work was set to music and appears in LDS hymnals to the present day (hymn 292). Seven pages of text with a facing illustration by the renowned Mormon painter John Hafen. Two pages of the lyrics with the music at the rear of the book. The music that appears here is not the same music that appears in the LDS hymnal. Portraits of Eliza R. Snow, John Hafen and Robert C. Easton (singer) appear on the title page. Flake/Draper 7842
