Katie Lee has been at the forefront of environmentalist causes throughout the Southwest for decades and in particular, she has fought for the restoration of Glen Canyon and the Colorado River to their states prior to the construction of the Glen Canyon Dam. Nice association copy linking to Southwest legends.This work was published sixteen years after Ruess disappeared in the wilds of Southern Utah. The mystery surrounding artist and poet Everett Ruess (1914-1934) continues to the present day. Ruess, who loved to explore the expansive lands of the west, disappeared in the wilderness of Utah in 1934. No trace of him has ever been found. Farquhar 119b
