337pp. Duodecimo [19 cm] Navy blue cloth covered boards with brown leather gilt stamped title labels on the spine and front cover. Very good. Light bumping and rubbing to the extremities. The edges of the text block are foxed, and the pages are very sporadically subtly foxed. From the collection of Berkeley book collector and letter press printer, John Ruyle, with his bookplate and name in pen on the front endsheet. The first British edition is listed in Bleiler CFL.

The first book, "Erewhon" is a utopian satire of Victorian England. "Erewhon Revisited" recounts the story of his return after twenty years to Erewhon to see what effect his departure in a balloon has had on the culture of the island.
