269pp. Octavo [22 cm] Red cloth effect paper over boards with a silver stamped title on the spine. Very good. The edges of the spine and covers are rubbed. There is a small chip at the foot of the backstrip, and there is a tiny abraded spot on the front cover. In a very good dust jacket, with the jacket photo of Ginsberg by Bruce England. Subtly age-toned, and lightly rubbed, chipped and creased. There are a few short closed tears in the edges.

Signed by Allen Ginsberg on the title page. In the majority of the talks and lectures, Ginsberg speaks directly to students and teachers at Kent State, Wisconsin State, and the universities of Wyoming and California. From the dust jacket- "For those interested in contemporary American poetry, Allen Verbatim will be a valuable resource- offering the reader Ginsberg's own views on prosody and the use of speech rhythms in poetry as well as rich insights into the works of Ezra Pound, William Carlos Williams, Jack Kerouac, Charles Olsen, etc."
