Name in ink at head of title page. tissue repairs to fore edge of the front free endsheet, and plates 8, 12,15 and 17. Small tissue repairs to the corners of a handful of pages. First tipped-in plate, "She caught Toto by the ear" in facsimile.
Illustrated by W.W. Denslow with twenty-four tipped in four color plates, and two-color illustrations throughout. Complete with all illustrations. First edition of the hugely popular and influential book. 'The Wonderful Wizard of Oz' was unlike anything in the history of publishing, and the book was very well received.
