Comments

This report on the technology of salt production in the United States is the result of studies made during several seasons and is based on work undertaken mainly in relation to the Government's efforts to find soluble potash salts in the United States. Almost every active salt plant in the United States has been visited, the source of supply and the means of extracting the salt from the brine have been studied, and hundreds of samples for analysis have been collected.
