209pp. Octavo [20 cm] Black cloth with a gilt stamped title on the spine. Very good. The spine is subtly rolled, and the pages are tanned. There are a couple of markings in colored pencil on the front free endsheet. This was the editorial copy of Donald A. Wollheim, with his ink stamps on the rear endsheet. In a very good dust jacket, with rubbing, age-toning, and a number of small closed and open tears in the edges. From the collection of Berkeley book collector and letter press printer, John Ruyle, with his notes in pencil on the front free endpaper. Bleiler checklist. Reginald 14008. Locke, Spectrum of Fantasy.
Illustrated by Fred Pendexter. A Utopian satire. George Locke cites this as a satirical novel of dictatorship in an imaginary world of an atom.
