311; pp. Octavo [19.5 cm] Red cloth covered boards with gilt stamped titles and elaborate embossed patterns on the spine and front cover. Frontispiece portrait by Harold Piffard. Very good. The extremities gently bumped and rubbed, the spine is rolled. The text block edges are lightly foxed. There are several small cracks in the endsheet along the hinge. The longest crack measures roughly 2" long. The free endsheets are quite darkened. The frontispiece tissue guard and the preliminary and terminal leaves are foxed. There is also very episodic foxing in the margins of the pages. In Hubin.
