Fore edges untrimmed. Illustrated endsheets. In a light green paper covered slipcase. The book is in very good condition, with a darkened spine. The slipcase is worn, with several splits along the edges. The longest split measures approximately 7" long.
Number 132 of 350 numbered and signed copies of this revised and illustrated edition. Signed by Vachel Lindsay on the limitation page. Vachel Lindsay was known in his day as a traveling bard, and he once supported himself by trading poems and pamphlets for food and shelter. He was able to dramatically deliver his poetry out loud, helping to keep appreciation for poetry as a spoken art alive in the American Midwest.
